Get the Financial Aid you need for your College Degree
Students that require financial aid must complete the free Federal Student Aid Application form from the U.S. Department of Education. The Student Aid Report (SAR) or Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) received will contain the information the students gave on their application, plus their expected family contribution number which determines their eligibility for the Pell Grant and other programs.
The student must submit the SAR or ISIR, as well as the Institutional Application for Financial Aid, with the required documents to the Financial Aid Office. The student must complete promptly each step in the process, so as not to miss any deadlines. Non compliance with the deadline may result in the denial of the requested financial aid. To determine eligibility, the Financial Aid Office considers the student’s financial need and academic status. For the specific requirements of each program and additional information about financial aid, see the Student Financial Aid Officer in the Financial Aid Office.
As any other award, one must fill out a FAFSA application and be eligible for it. The eligibility requirements for grants and loans from the government are as follows:
First time borrowers will receive an in-person loan counseling before the delivery of first disbursement. They also will receive an in-person exit counseling before the students ceases enrollment. If a student withdraws or fails to attend the exit interview, we will mail written material to them within 30 days.

Contact the CBT Technology Institute to see which campuses and programs are approved through VA.
Upon enrollment, the student should notify the Business and Records Office of VA eligibility so that necessary enrollment certification forms can be sent to the VA. The university offers only administrative “record keeping” assistance to veterans and is not responsible for determining eligibility for VA benefits.
There are many Veterans Administration rules and regulations which students should be aware of that pertain to courses offered off campus, such as independent study courses taken by audit (no benefits) and “I” grades. It is the student’s responsibility to inquire concerning all VA rules and regulations and to report any changes in status that affect these benefits. Additionally, VA benefits will be terminated for students who are dismissed for academic or disciplinary reasons and can only be reinstated after counseling and approval by the VA.
To get started, the student should contact the Department of Veterans Affairs directly (National number 1-888-442-4551 or local, PO Box 1437, St. Petersburg, FL 33731) directly request a list of all the forms and steps needed to complete the process, or simply contact your Admissions counselor for a complete step-by-step direction.
