This past August 19th and 20th, CBT Technology Institute was able to put an event together as a way to getting back at the communities where their campuses are located. The event consisted in donating over 1000 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need. The back packs included: three-ring binders, composition books, folders, dividers, paper and pencil pouches with pencils, pens, erasers, highlighters, sharpeners, and glue sticks, and other school goodies.
I find that companies that truly care about their communities benefit in so many than those just trying to sell you something. Community involved companies set the example for other businesses, and create a socially responsible and giving company culture among employees. It’s a “domno’s effect”, specially now on this tough economic times…families need to creatively stretch their dollars to provide for their kids going back to school. You know, I can honestly say that this noble action is just a way of saying: thank you.
Well, I say Thank you!! back to CBT Technology Institute for supporting the kids in their communities and I hope to see a movement among businesses to take CBT’s example and start giving back to the community.
